Description

The Xiaomi Redmi 17 4G is a large-format mobile device with exceptionally long battery life, specially tailored for B2B market needs, corporate fleet equipment, field professionals, and new or refurbished hardware resellers. This model is powered by the 12nm MediaTek Helio G91-Ultra SoC, featuring an octa-core architecture clocked up to 2.0 GHz and a Mali-G52 MC2 graphics processor. Managed by the Android-based Xiaomi HyperOS interface, the system delivers exemplary stability and responsiveness for running everyday professional applications, stock management, delivery tracking, or daily multitasking.

The display subsystem relies on an imposing 6.9-inch IPS LCD DotDisplay screen boasting an HD+ resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. The panel features an adaptive refresh rate scaling up to 120 Hz for optimal visual fluidity and a peak brightness of 825 nits in HBM mode, ensuring flawless readability under bright ambient light. To withstand daily handling constraints and mechanical shocks, the front glass is reinforced with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i toughened glass. The optical setup includes a 50 MP main sensor managed by artificial intelligence with a rear RGB LED notification ring, complemented by a side-mounted capacitive fingerprint scanner built into the power button.

Built to last, the rigid thermoplastic polymer chassis features an IP64 rating protecting it against dust ingress and splashing water. The true technical added value lies in the integration of a high-density Silicon-Carbon (Si/C) battery with an exceptional capacity of 7500 mAh. This module supports 45W Turbo Charge fast charging via its USB-C port and features wired reverse charging up to 22.5W, turning the smartphone into a genuine emergency mobile charging station for external peripherals (payment terminals, card readers, or earphones).

Workshop Advice & Usage

Due to the massive 7500 mAh battery, please note that the original Xiaomi box does not include a mains power adapter. To prevent after-sales returns relating to end-user complaints of slow charging, we strongly recommend including a USB-C mains charger delivering at least 45W via the Power Delivery (USB-PD) standard with the purchase. During any workshop technical intervention (replacing the charging port or changing the screen), you must disconnect the main battery FPC ribbon cable before handling the display ribbon cables to avoid damaging the motherboard backlight circuit. Due to the Silicon-Carbon chemistry of the battery pack, avoid using sharp metal tools or overly aggressive chemical adhesive removers when removing it.
